Our Casting Manufacturing Process — From Enquiry to Dispatch

A five-step casting manufacturing process refined in Bangalore over a decade of pattern making and casting work — the same steps whether the part is a single prototype or a production run of 10,000.

Every job runs through the same casting manufacturing process, whether it's a one-off pattern or a full production order. For a step by step casting process for automotive parts — exhaust manifolds and cylinder heads being typical examples — that consistency is what keeps rejection rates low across a batch, not just on the first few pieces.

How We Work

5-Step Process

1

Enquiry & Review

Send us your drawings or samples. We review feasibility and send back a detailed quote within 24–48 hours.

2

Design & Simulate

This is where CAD pattern design and casting simulation happen together, not one after the other. Running the simulation before any metal is poured lets us catch shrinkage, porosity, and fill issues on screen instead of in a scrapped casting.

3

Pattern Making

The pattern making process steps here start with CNC-machining the pattern and verifying it against the 3D model before it goes anywhere near a foundry. For anyone wanting the shell moulding process explained simply: the shell mould and core box are prepared directly from this verified pattern, so what the foundry receives is already proven to match the design.

4

Cast & Machine

A controlled casting process, followed by fettling and CNC machining to final dimensions and the specified surface finish.

5

Inspect & Dispatch

Every part goes through CMM dimensional inspection for castings before it leaves Bangalore, alongside material certification and a full inspection report included with the delivery — not available on request, but as standard.

Who we are

Quality Control

Our quality control process in casting manufacturing runs through every step above, not just at the end: simulation catches design issues early, dimensional verification checks the pattern before casting starts, and CMM inspection plus material certification confirm the finished part. It's the same discipline whether the part is aerospace-grade or a standard automotive bracket.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your casting manufacturing process in Bangalore?

A five-step process: enquiry and review, design and simulation, pattern making, casting and machining, and final inspection and dispatch — all handled at our Peenya facility.

We CNC-machine the pattern, verify it against the 3D model, then prepare the shell mould and core box, so the pattern that reaches the foundry floor is already dimensionally confirmed.

Shell moulding here starts from a verified pattern, which is used to form a thin, hardened sand shell mould — it gives a better surface finish and tighter tolerance than plain sand casting for many part types.

Yes, every job goes through CAD pattern design and process simulation first, so defects like shrinkage or poor fill are caught and corrected before metal is poured.

Every casting is checked on a CMM for dimensional accuracy, comes with material certification, and ships with a full inspection report as standard documentation.
