Exhaust Manifold Castings For Automotive & Industrial Applications

From core making to machined, inspection-ready components — exhaust manifold casting built for the heat and dimensional demands of engine applications.

Casting Process & Material Options

Exhaust manifolds are manufactured using sand and shell casting processes suited to the manifold's runner geometry and the wall-thickness control this component needs.

Material selection is confirmed against the customer's application, operating temperature range and specification — cast iron and cast steel families commonly used for exhaust manifolds are discussed and finalised once the drawing and duty conditions are reviewed.

Core Making

The internal exhaust passages of a manifold are formed using precision-made cores. Core accuracy directly affects gas-flow geometry and wall-thickness consistency, so core making is treated as a dedicated step rather than an incidental part of the casting process.

Heat & Dimensional Requirements

Exhaust manifolds operate under repeated thermal cycling, so dimensional stability and consistent wall thickness matter as much as the as-cast shape. Mahati's process controls are built around holding these requirements consistently across a production run, not just on a first-off sample.

Machining & Inspection

Mating faces, bolt patterns and flange surfaces are CNC machined to the tolerances required for correct assembly to the engine block and downstream exhaust system.

Each batch is dimensionally checked against the customer drawing, with inspection records available on request.

Prototype To Production Capability

Mahati supports customers from early prototype castings — used to validate fit, form and function — through to volume production, using the same process discipline at both stages so the production part matches what was validated at prototype.
